ABOUT US
At BRIDGE WORKS OF AMERICA, we connect skilled professionals with opportunities to build and maintain the infrastructure that drives the United States forward.
The nation’s infrastructure is in dire need of updates and maintenance from bridges and highways to urban transit systems. The demand for skilled professionals in the heavy civil industry has never been greater, yet the existing talent within the U.S. cannot fully meet the need for engineering and supervisory roles.
While our focus is on tapping into the incredible talent already present within the U.S., we are also complementing this pool with exceptional candidates from abroad to address critical shortages in key areas, specifically Mexico and Canada.
With over 20 years of experience in the construction and civil engineering industry, both in the U.S. and Mexico, we bring a unique perspective and deep industry insight. This allows us to bridge the gap between companies seeking reliable professionals and engineers eager to make an impact.
At BRIDGE WORKS OF AMERICA, we believe that the right connection between talent and companies leads to mutual growth and success. We are committed to strengthening teams, advancing careers, and contributing to the improvement of infrastructure across the nation.

My Story

From a young age, I was captivated by the art and science of building. Growing up in Mexico, I watched construction workers transform a neighbor's house using bricks, mortar, and reinforced concrete. At just four years old, I declared that I wanted to work in construction. That dream, coupled with a natural ability for math and physics, led me to pursue a career in Civil Engineering.
In 2001, I co-founded a construction business with fellow alumni from my engineering program. Starting with an annual revenue of 200,000 pesos, we grew our business over the next decade to 20 million pesos, a 100 fold increase. This success was built on a foundation of reliability, attention to detail, and transparency. Without advertising beyond our first two projects, word of mouth propelled our growth, with satisfied clients continually recommending us for larger and more complex projects.
Despite this success, I felt drawn to move to the United States, a place where, in my view, fairness and thoughtful processes seemed more prevalent. A visit to New York City in 2008 solidified my desire to work in the U.S. construction industry, and in 2011, I made the leap. While the financial rewards could be important, my move was driven by the pursuit of new challenges and opportunities. Leaving behind a thriving business was no small decision, but I believed in my ability to achieve success wherever I focused my efforts.
Starting over in the U.S. came with its challenges. No clear knowledge of immigration processes, language barriers, cultural differences, and adapting to a highly structured work environment tested my resilience. However, I quickly found my footing, managing a $600,000 contract in 2012 for New York Metro-North Rail Road, and progressing to managing a $160 million project by 2019 for the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority in New York, one of the most strict agencies to work in the U.S. Hard not to mention my latest Project where I worked as a Segment Lead for a $2.4 Billion Project, and contribute to the construction of the Purple Line in Maryland for MDOT, with a huge positive impact for the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. These milestones reflect my commitment, reliability, and drive to excel in any endeavor I pursue.
Throughout my years in the industry, I’ve noticed a recurring challenge: the disconnect between recruiters, HR managers, and the realities of the construction trade. It’s a tough industry, and finding talent, let alone great talent is a constant struggle. These needs, coupled with my deep industry knowledge, entrepreneurial spirit, and cross-cultural experience, inspired me to launch a new enterprise.
An that’s how BRIDGE WORKS OF AMERICA is becoming a reality. Built on years of experience, trust, and a passion for connecting talent with opportunity, this venture represents more than just a business, it’s a legacy. A legacy that aims to empower candidates, strengthen companies, and contribute to the growth of the infrastructure that supports the United States of America's future.
